DAY 02 - Arusha To Lake Manyara National Park
In the early morning, after enjoying breakfast, we set out for Lake Manyara National Park, a pristine paradise renowned for its abundance of birds and iconic tree-climbing lions. The dramatic western escarpment of the Rift Valley forms the park's western border, while the eastern side boasts the shallow, alkaline Lake Manyara. The lake's size fluctuates with the seasons, attracting thousands of flamingos during the rainy periods. The name "Manyara" is derived from the Maasai word "emanyara," which refers to a popular plant used to construct protective enclosures around family homesteads (bomas). The park's vegetation is diverse, ranging from savannah to evergreen forest. During your exploration, you may spot giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, and, if fortunate, lions lounging in the trees. After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head to our campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
Accommodation: Migombani Camp | Bed & Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
DAY 03 & 04 - Serengeti National Park
Early in the morning, after a delightful breakfast, we embark on a journey to Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is truly spectacular, renowned for its vast open grasslands that offer excellent wildlife sightings. It is Tanzania's oldest National Park and one of the oldest ecosystems on Earth, with a climate and vegetation that have remained largely unchanged for millions of years. While the Serengeti is home to abundant wildlife, it is best known for the annual Great Migration, where vast numbers of wildebeests, along with zebras and antelopes, follow an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing areas. The exact timing of the Migration depends on the yearly rainfall patterns. After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head to our campsite for dinner and an overnight stay. We will spend 2 nights inside this incredible park.
Accommodation: Nyani Campsite | Bed & Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
DAY 05 - Serengeti National Park To Ngorongoro
Early morning after breakfast, we continue our journey with an en-route drive inside Serengeti National Park before departing for Ngorongoro Crater. When you first lay eyes on Ngorongoro Crater, it appears like a forgotten world, concealed by the steep volcanic walls. Within this dormant volcano, you'll find a pristine wilderness, including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland, and glistening lakes and swamps. Upon arriving at our accommodation in the late evening, we will have dinner and an overnight stay at one of our campsite.
Accommodation: Migombani Camp | Bed & Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
DAY O6 - Ngorongoro Crater To Karatu
Early morning after breakfast, we depart to Tarangire National Park. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands, and lush groundwater forest. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet! After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head back to Arusha.
