  • DAY 02 - Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Early in the morning, after a delightful breakfast, we embark on our journey to Tarangire National Park. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River that meanders through it, often called the 'river of warthogs.' It serves as the sole source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. The park boasts diverse vegetation, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands, and lush groundwater forests. Tarangire is renowned for its elephant families, often seen congregating by the river. Your safari may also grant you sightings of giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and a range of predators, including lions and leopards. Tarangire National Park is a birdwatcher's paradise, hosting more breeding species of birds than any other location on the planet. After lunch and an extensive game drive, we head to our carefully selected accommodation near Tarangire for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • DAY 03 - Lake Manyara National Park

Early morning, following breakfast, we continue our safari adventure by departing for Lake Manyara National Park, a pristine paradise renowned for its abundant birdlife and tree-climbing lions. The park's western border is marked by the dramatic western escarpment of the Rift Valley. To the east lies the shallow, alkaline Lake Manyara, which covers a significant portion of the park and undergoes seasonal flooding and drying, attracting thousands of flamingos during the rainy season. The name "Manyara" is derived from the Maasai word 'emanyara,' referring to a popular plant used to construct protective enclosures around family homesteads (bomas). The park's vegetation is diverse, ranging from savannah to evergreen forests. During your exploration of the park, you may encounter abundant giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and if luck is on your side, lions lounging in the trees. After lunch and an extensive game drive, we head to our carefully selected accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Accommodation: Foresight Tented Lodge | Bed & Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

  • DAY 04 - Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we set off for Ngorongoro Crater. At first glance, the Crater appears as a forgotten world, concealed by steep volcanic walls. Within this dormant volcano, a pristine wilderness unfolds, comprising sweeping savannahs, pockets of acacia woodland, and shimmering lakes and swamps. The Crater was formed when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago. It is celebrated for both its geological wonders and its status as a natural reserve, housing some of the densest populations of large mammals on the entire African continent. The descent into the Crater itself is an adventure, and once on the Crater floor, you will find yourself amidst herds of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater offers you the best opportunity to spot the endangered black rhino, which occasionally roams the open grasslands. After lunch and an extensive game drive in the park, we head to Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • DAY 05 & 06 - Serengeti National Park

Early morning, you can choose to enjoy a Balloon Safari, followed by a delightful breakfast. Afterward, we depart for Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is truly spectacular, renowned for its vast open grasslands that offer exceptional wildlife sightings. It is Tanzania's oldest National Park and one of the oldest ecosystems on Earth. Its climate and vegetation have remained largely untouched for millions of years. While the Serengeti is abundant in wildlife, it is best known for the annual Great Migration. Vast numbers of wildebeests, accompanied by large herds of zebras and antelopes, follow an annual pattern, continually seeking fresh grazing. The exact timing of the Migration depends on the rainfall patterns each year.

During your 2-night stay inside Serengeti National Park, you will have the unique choice to relax at the lodge, return to your lodge for a hot lunch, or engage in unlimited game drives that are not restricted by mileage or daily departure times. After lunch and extensive game viewing, we head to our accommodation for a romantic dinner and an overnight stay.
